Governor Jim Justice sends aid to the Carolinas

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – Governor Jim Justice is sending members of the West Virginia National Guard to South Carolina to help with cleanup and rebuilding efforts.

30 troops, including engineers and offloading teams, will be sent to South Carolina on Friday to help rebuild and clean up debris.

Governor Justice did not hesitate to help the Carolinas in times of need.

Originally, 12 airmen were to be deployed to North Carolina to assist in search and rescue, but the request was put on hold.
