Angelina County deputies search for armed suspect after gas station robbery

ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) – Deputies are searching for a getaway car after an armed robber fled an Angelina County gas station Wednesday morning.

According to Sheriff Tom Selman, a convenience store located between Lufkin and Wells on U.S. 69 was robbed at gunpoint around 9:08 a.m. The suspect robbed the store of an undetermined amount of money.

According to Selman, the suspect fled the scene north on U.S. 69. Deputies are searching for a possible getaway vehicle seen leaving the store at the time of the incident.
