Malimali stays until charged: Rabuka – FBC News

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has clarified that no one needs to resign when they are under investigation.

Rabuka clarified this after calls for Fiji’s independent commissions against corruption, Barbara Malimali, to resign pending investigation.

“No one resigns when they are under investigation. When they are indicted, they must resign. They are forced to resign.

Many, including the Fiji Labor Party, said Malimali should resign as commissioner to allow for transparency and accountability.
