Repeat Wisconsin offender sentenced to 25 years in prison for attempted sexual exploitation of a child

(WFRV) – U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Wisconsin Gregory J. Haanstad announced Monday that a 41-year-old man was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for attempted sexual exploitation of a child.

Court records show that David Fuchs, formerly of Janesville, initiated conversations with undercover agent from the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office, who posed online as a 12-year-old girl.

Fuchs allegedly described his desire to have sex with “the child,” sending numerous explicit images and asking for them in return. He explained that he was going to teach the girl how to have sex, then planned to meet her at a plaza near Madison.

On March 15, he arrived intending to meet a 12-year-old girl, but was arrested by the United States Marshals Service. Court records also showed that the same undercover agent spoke to Fuchs under a different undercover identity. He also spoke to other undercover agents posing as underage girls.
