Boston police seize guns, ammunition and drugs in Dorchester warrant operation

BOSTON — Boston Police Department officers arrested three people and recovered a firearm, ammunition and drugs while executing an arrest warrant in Dorchester Monday.

The Youth Violence Strike Force, in conjunction with the Massachusetts State Police, executed an arrest warrant at an apartment located at 95 Willowwood St. The operation resulted in the arrest of Syncere Lindsay, 20, from Hyde Park, and two 17-year-olds. men under the age of one year subject to arrest warrants for various offenses.

During the search following the arrests, officers located a Springfield Armory .45 caliber firearm with one round in the chamber and a high-capacity magazine containing ten rounds.

They also seized a large package of crack cocaine and an assortment of pills.

One of the juveniles was taken into custody and will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a large capacity feeding device and possession of a Class B substance with intent to distribute.

This individual also faces an indictment for an outstanding warrant related to a probation or parole violation.

The second juvenile is also expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on an outstanding arrest warrant for a probation or parole violation.
