1-month-old boy found dead in New York apartment

A 1-month-old boy was found dead Tuesday in an Upper Manhattan apartment, cops said.

A family member called 911 to report the baby lifeless inside the apartment on West 162nd Street, near Riverside Drive in Washington Heights, police said.

Officers responded to the scene, as did EMS units – who transported the unresponsive and unresponsive child to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, officers said.

The little boy’s body showed no visible signs of trauma, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

The city medical examiner’s office will officially determine the baby’s cause of death, police said.
