Santosh Mishra raided the UP-Bihar border area and arrested ten people associated with the case.

SP of Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh raided UP-Bihar border area and arrested a gang dealing in fake notes worth Rs. 5.62 Lakhs, Rs 1.1 lakhs and NPR 3000 (Rs. 1800) found in the police action.

Additionally, four cotton bombs, ten domestically made pistols, 30 live cartridges and 12 other cartridges were also discovered. Officials also found 13 mobile phones, 26 SIM cards, ten fake Aadhar cards, 10 ATM cards, eight laptops and two luxury cars. Following this, the police arrested ten people in connection with this action.

In an interview, SP Santosh Kumar suggested that while many people have been arrested, several tasks also remain pending. He also confirmed that the police had acted completely fairly and that their intention was not to defame anyone or conspire against anyone. Furthermore, he claimed that whenever they took any action, they did so under the direction of their superior officers. Following this, the SP also added that he left his job and became an IPS to serve his country. Likewise, his father was also a soldier and is a source of inspiration for him as he follows his father’s principles. After 2017, under the leadership of the chief minister, Mishra was posted in many districts. Wherever he was posted, he carried out his work with authenticity.

When asked about the dangers of tracking down criminals, Santosh Mishra said that in this field, danger and challenges are inherent and one learns to deal with them over time. He said they had chosen this path with the belief that they would face whatever challenges came their way. Although a well-paid job abroad could have given him a comfortable life, he believes it would come with the regret of not contributing to the country. Santosh Mishra highlighted the achievement of work for the welfare of the society and claimed the valuable lessons he had learned from his senior officers.

Several shocking revelations have been made regarding this affair, since several political leaders are associated with it. Samajwadi Party leader and national secretary of Samajwadi Lohia Vahin, Mohammed Rafiq Ahmed, are also suspected to be associated with it.

A shocking revelation was also made about Aurangzeb Khan, also called Laden, who was arrested in connection with the case. He was found to be a Samajwadi Party leader. In 2023, he left the Congress Party to join the Samajwadi Party and previously served as the state secretary of the Congress minority cell.
