2 arrested in OKC human trafficking investigation

Two individuals were arrested Tuesday, October 1, 2024 as part of a human trafficking investigation involving two minors, according to a release from the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics (OBN).

OBN spokesman Mark Woodward said the arrests followed an investigation that began in July after the agency received information about possible trafficking activity. “OBN’s investigation confirmed evidence that Tony Ray Polly (DOB 6/3/1994) and Latavia Sharay Robins (DOB 6/7/2001) allegedly posted advertisements featuring the minors on commercial websites sex and would arrange meetings with clients and these young victims at a northwest metro apartment,” Woodward said in the release.

The release said Polly and Robins face several charges related to human trafficking. According to the press release, OBN agents managed to recover the minor victims, who are now receiving assistance.

OBN Director Donnie Anderson expressed gratitude for the courage of the victims and noted the availability of resources for other potential victims. “We are grateful that the victims in this case had the courage to speak out, and we want other victims to know that they do not need to be afraid,” Anderson said in the release. “Oklahoma has exceptional partnerships with service providers ready to help victims.”

The release encourages citizens and victims to anonymously report suspected human trafficking and find resources available on the OBN Human Trafficking Program website.
