October 1—ARREST

A Falls man was arrested on a warrant in the area of 77th Street and Frontier Avenue at 4:45 a.m. Friday. The 59-year-old man was charged with failure to appear. Details about the underlying criminal case were not available.

STOP

Two Falls women were arrested after shoplifting at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 5:20 p.m. Thursday. The 32-year-old and 30-year-old women were each charged with petit larceny. They are accused of taking more than $66 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

Two women were arrested after shoplifting at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 12:20 a.m. Sunday. The 44-year-old and 21-year-old women were each charged with petit larceny. They are accused of taking more than $99 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

A Falls woman was arrested after an incident in the 400 block of 26th Street at 6:05 p.m. Sunday. The 29-year-old woman was charged with second-degree assault. She is accused of injecting a harmful substance into a man, after calling the victim’s girlfriend a “whore”.

BURGLARY

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in the 4100 block of Mapleton Road in Pendleton. The male victim told Niagara County Sheriff’s Office deputies that his deceased father’s motorcycle, tools and family photos were stolen on September 26.

FRAUD

Police are investigating a fraud case in which the victim was asked to purchase $5,000 in gift cards. The female victim told Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies that she purchased the gift cards as instructed. She has since contacted her financial institutions after making a report to the sheriff’s office.

BURGLARY

Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in the 2600 block of Lockport-Youngstown Road in Ransomville. The male victim told Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies that he found his garage door open and approximately $800 worth of items were missing. He was advised to place cameras around the property. There is no suspicious information at this time.
