Southwick agrees to mediation in Dollar General developer permit appeal

SOUTHWICK — The city and Connecticut-based Calito Development Group have agreed to mediation to resolve two lawsuits filed by the developer after the Planning Board denied him a special permit to build a Dollar General store on College Highway.

“I believe a negotiated resolution is in the best interest of all parties and will hopefully lead to a reasonable resolution,” Michael Pill, the Northampton-based attorney who filed both lawsuits in early July, said in a statement. Calito’s name.

Southwick Administrative Director Nicole Parker confirmed Monday that the special committee had agreed to mediation. Both said that because the mediations were confidential, they could not comment further.
