Columbus police search for armed robbery suspect

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Columbus police are looking for a man they say was involved in an armed robbery that happened in July.

Police say the suspect’s name is John Dortch, who is wanted in connection with a July 15 robbery at the Latino Mart on River Road.

The Columbus Police Department said the other suspect, Joshua Davis, was arrested Aug. 29.

Police said surveillance footage of the robbery revealed Dortch and Davis entered the store and demanded money. The footage showed Dortch was armed with a gun at the time. Dortch and Davis fled the store on foot after receiving an unknown amount of money.

Anyone with information on Dortch’s whereabouts is asked to contact 911 or Sgt. Mr. Dahnke at 706-225-4929. Callers can remain anonymous.
