I obtained the file of a person to whom Bobrisky is indebted – VDM

VeryDarkMan revealed that it obtained an audio recording of Bobrisky from an individual to whom Bobrisky is indebted.

The activist yesterday appeared before the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Financial Crimes and Reform Institutions to respond to allegations of corruption involving officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Haliru Nababa, the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

Initially, VeryDarkMan was hesitant to address the committee without Bobrisky present, but his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, convinced him to move forward.

During his testimony, VeryDarkMan revealed that he received the widely circulated audio recording from someone who loaned Bobrisky money.

He alleged that the amount was provided to Bobrisky while the EFCC was detaining her on June 19, 2024.

“I came into possession of this recording because Bobrisky was blackmailing someone to whom he owed money,” he explained. “The individual lent Bobrisky N4 million during his detention or while he was at a private residence. This transaction was made into a Kuda account belonging to Abiodun Okuneye, who appears to be his brother. When it came time to repay the loan, the lender requested repayment to settle his bills in Lagos, but Bobrisky did not respond.

The Abuja-based fitness expert claimed that Bobrisky resorted to blackmailing the lender when repayment was due.

“I had a conversation where Bobrisky was pressuring the individual to repay immediately after seeing my video, as well as messages in which she attempted to blackmail him over the loan,” a- he continued.

He quoted a message from the lender to Bobrisky: “Dear Bobrisky, this is a reminder for the return of the loan amount of N4 million as agreed. The repayment due date is September 1st. He noted that Bobrisky had initially set this date.

The lender then said, “Please use the attached information to make the repayment,” but after receiving no payment, contacted VeryDarkMan.

During the conversation, the lender expressed his frustration: “I helped you when you needed help, but now when it’s time to pay back, you’re blackmailing me. » Bobrisky replied dismissively: “When you kissed and kissed me, did you give me money? I didn’t ask you for money because I’m fine. Without the EFCC, I would not contact you. Go ahead and call me; I will respond to you on Instagram. You know that I am shameless and indifferent. I have your account information and you will receive your money. I don’t want to sound ungrateful, but giving me a request within 24 hours is too much.”

VeryDarkMan indicated that it would present this evidence, as well as additional recordings.

Although he did not reveal specific names, he submitted part of the audio recording to the committee as evidence. Earlier, VeryDarkMan shared another audio clip in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have bribed EFCC officials with N15 million to dismiss money laundering charges against her.

Separately, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced on Monday that it had dropped money laundering charges against Nigerian cross-dresser Idris Okuneye (also known as Bobrisky due to his confessions of abuse of naira.

This is exactly when the Nigerian Correctional Service, formerly known as Prisons, said it did not place Bobrisky in the general cell population because he was transgender and had feminine features, which could have exposed him to sexual abuse.

The two federal institutions made their positions known when they appeared at the fact-finding hearing of the Joint Committee of the House of Representatives on the EFCC and the Correctional Service over their alleged collection of a $15 bribe million naira to drop money laundering charges against Bobrisky.

The EFCC prosecutor, Bilikisu Buhari, told the Committee that the money laundering charges were dropped based on Bobrisky’s confession of naira abuse in court, adding that the Commission had the power to amend the accusations.

“There is no form of financial incentive for members of the commission. Everything we did was consistent with the core values of the commission,” she noted.

While testifying before the Committee, Deputy Comptroller of Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Michael Anugwa, said: “We did not include Bobrisky in the general cell population because he is transgender and has feminine features.

“If we had placed him in the general cell with the rest of the inmates, they would have ‘paid’ Bobrisky overnight. Kirikiri Prison is filled with many hardened criminals who are convicted of rape and even many convicted of sodomy.

Meanwhile, Bobrisky was absent at the House inquiry as his lawyer, Avwerosuoghene Omuvwie, told lawmakers that his client could not honor the panel’s invitation due to his illness.

However, when asked by the committee if he had provided evidence from Bobrisky’s doctor about his state of health, the lawyer replied that he had no such document.

When called to testify, Martins Vincent Otse (also known as Very DarkMan), who circulated the publication accusing the EFCC and the Nigerian Correctional Service, refused to comment, saying he would die if he said anything because Bobrisky was away.

He said: “I don’t know why I will be here, but the person who made these allegations is not here.

“Bobrisky said in the voice note that there was a godfather. Maybe the godfather told him not to come. He disrespected this committee by not coming here.

“You’re already threatening me with arrest.” If you detain me, I will stay in the cell. If Bobrisky isn’t here, I won’t say anything. If I say anything, let me die.

However, committee members ordered Verydarkman to return and answer questions, thereby adopting his claims or face arrest by parliament.

The Chairman, Hon Ginger Obinna, stressed that Verydarkman cannot dictate proceedings, including the presence of Bobrisky, as that decision rests with the committee.

He said: “You are not supposed to dictate whether Bobrisky will come here; it’s up to us to decide. We can also force him to appear before us and invoke our powers to stop him. We can compel Bobrisky to appear before us and even arrest him if necessary.”

“Your allegations led to the invitation of senior government officials, so you need to speak out about these allegations. You are already here to testify; I will advise you to go there; don’t let anyone fool you. To the lawyer, please inform your client.
