Armed robbers hit Broxton liquor store, flee north to Telfair County – Douglas Now

Officers are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Broxton earlier this evening.

An unknown number of attackers entered Broxton Package on Highway 441, just north of town. They fled with an undisclosed amount of money and injured a store employee. The employee was transported to Coffee Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

After robbing the store, the attackers jumped into a vehicle and fled north on Highway 441 toward Telfair County. Police continue to collect evidence and respond to the crime scene. The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact 911.
