Police were called to the single-vehicle crash around 1:35 a.m. on September 23. It was reported that a vehicle was crossing the intersection of Kaiwi Street and Ma’a Way.

The driver, Omar Avina-Becerra, 29, was in the vehicle with a female passenger.

When officers arrived on scene, they allegedly found more than 2 pounds of marijuana, more than 1.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms and 15 grams of cocaine. He also had a large sum of cash in his possession.
