Verydarkman reveals how he obtained Bobrisky’s phone recording

Social media critic Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has revealed how he obtained a controversial phone recording of Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.

He made the revelation on Monday when he appeared before a House of Representatives panel probing allegations of corruption involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).

The New Telegraph reports that EFCC and NCoS staff were featured as the Financial Crimes Commissions and Reform Institutions launched an investigation into allegations of bribery and corruption leveled against the anti-corruption agency and the prison service by the blogger.

Meanwhile, VeryDarkMan had initially refused to address the committee in the absence of Bobrisky who was also invited but sent a lawyer instead.

VeryDarkMan further insisted that his attorney would speak for him despite the committee’s threat to invoke legislative powers and order his immediate arrest.

The New Telegraph reports that VeryDarkMan released audio recordings in which Bobrisky allegedly claimed to have bribed officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), with N15 million to drop money laundering charges against him.

Records also suggest that Femi Falana and his son Falz reached a settlement of N10 million to resolve the matter.
