WILMINGTON, OF — Delaware State Police have detained 21-year-old Harry Anderson of New Castle, Delaware, on serious gun and drug charges following a high-speed pursuit on Monday evening.

The chase began around 7:57 PM on August 6, 2024, when a trooper, initially responding to an unrelated trespassing incident at the Sunoco/Mini Mart at 1950 Maryland Avenue, noticed an attempt by the New Castle County Governor’s Task Force to apprehend a suspicious. Anderson, who was on a blue and white dirt bike and wearing a ski mask, escaped troopers’ commands and sped off eastbound on Maryland Avenue.

Anderson’s reckless driving led through multiple Wilmington streets until his dirt bike slowed abruptly at the intersection of Brown Street and Lower Oak Street, causing a collision with a pursuing Delaware State Police Chevrolet Tahoe. The crash concluded with the bike and Anderson being pushed against a chain-link fence.

Post-collision, Anderson continued to defy verbal commands and reached into his satchel, prompting troopers to deploy a Taser after spotting a firearm under his foot. A loaded “ghost gun” and 36 oxycodone pills were retrieved from the area of ​​his arrest. It was also confirmed that Anderson, a convicted felon, is legally barred from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Anderson was treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash before being charged and transported to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution, where he is held on a $59,200 secured bond.

    WASHINGTON, DC – Police are seeking the community’s help in identifying three suspects involved in a first-degree theft in Northwest DC The incident occurred on August 6, 2024, at approximately 12:24 pm when the suspects entered an establishment in the 3300 block of Cady’s Alley and stole US currency before fleeing the scene. No one was harmed during the theft.

    ROXBURY, MA — Boston Police Department reported the arrest of 48-year-old Alexander Delarosa of Boston for firearm-related charges following a shooting incident on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.

    The incident occurred around 11:30 AM at 10 Roxbury Street. Officers from District B-2 responded to a call about a shooting and immediately began a search for both the victim and the suspect. Surveillance footage showed a male victim moving towards Malcolm X Boulevard. The victim later checked himself into a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

    Further surveillance analysis helped officers to identify and distribute images of the suspect. A detective spotted an individual matching the description near Center Street and Estrella Street. As officers approached, Delarosa attempted to hide and was seen placing his hand into his pocket, refusing to comply with officers’ commands to show his hands.

    Officers managed to detain Delarosa swiftly, discovering a Regent firearm with three live rounds and one spent shell casing in his sweater pocket upon searching him. The quick response and detailed surveillance contributed to the successful apprehension and weapons recovery.
