Two people in custody for attempting to bribe DCI agents

Two suspected human traffickers have been arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).

Jama Hirbo and Tasu Hirbo are in custody for attempting to bribe DCI officers to secure the release of human trafficking victims detained at Isinya police station in Kajiado County.

“Jama Hirbo and Tasu Hirbo found themselves in a difficult situation after they attempted to bribe officers of the Transnational Organised Crime Unit domiciled at the DCI headquarters with Ksh 50,000,” the DCI said on X.

“The duo were caught red-handed in Huruma area of ​​Nairobi County while attempting to bribe officers to secure the release of victims of human trafficking detained at Isinya Police Station in Kajiado County,” the DCI said.

The suspects were escorted to Muthaiga police station for further processing with the bribe money seized as evidence.
