Greenville man arrested for sexual exploitation, attorney general says

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Attorney General’s Office announced that a Greenville man has been arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor.

Investigators report that Russell Stokes, 55, distributed files containing child sexual abuse material.

Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Stokes on July 30.

Stokes is charged with three counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

The arrest came while Stokes was out on bail following a previous arrest in 2020 on related charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors.

Stokes will be prosecuted by the attorney general’s office.
