In Canada, a car is stolen every six minutes

Interpol has identified Canada as a “top source country” for stolen vehicles, fueling a thriving global black market that supports international organized crime groups. Shockingly, 105,000 cars were stolen in Canada in 2022, a 27% increase from 2021 and the highest number in 13 years. To top it all off, transnational crime syndicates are using these stolen cars as a form of currency, leveraging the profits from their sale on foreign markets to fund illicit drug and weapons operations, all while cleverly evading the Canadian banking system.
