Fireworks stand burglarized at gunpoint in Crofton, 4 arrested

CROFTON, Md. — A fireworks stand was robbed at gunpoint in Crofton over the weekend, police said.

Officers said they arrested four suspects, identified as:

  • Mark Dewayne Mason, 23, of Bowie
  • Isaiah Christopher Mason, 19, of Bowie
  • Jelani Nassir Bryson, 18, of Hyattsville
  • Elijah Cravon Ducket, 20, of Waldorf

The theft occurred around 9 p.m. Saturday at the Gorilla Fireworks stand at 1153 Crain Highway North, authorities said.

Police said three suspects demanded money from a female employee.

One of the suspects pointed a gun at her, police said.

Authorities said the trio stole a cash register and fled in a dark BMW driven by a fourth suspect.

Police said they spotted the vehicle and arrested the four occupants.

Officers said they found the cash register and a loaded .40-caliber polymer pistol in the car.
