Video: 13 injured in Montgomery shooting, more than 600 shots fired

Nine people were shot and four others were injured in a mass shooting at a crowded party early in the morning on Sunday, June 23.

At approximately 1:46 a.m., the Montgomery Police Department and firefighters responded to the area of ​​North Pass Road and Alabama River Parkway for reports of gunshot victims. They found an adult female and a juvenile male, both with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, according to Mayor Steven Reed.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) are interviewing witnesses and suspects.

“This morning, more than 600 rounds were fired into a crowded party in the North Pass neighborhood,” said Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed. “Nine were injured, and at least four others were injured in the chaos that followed. »

“We are working around the clock to identify those involved, and we urge anyone with information to come forward to help us stop this type of violent and senseless activity.”
